Johnston claims that after he and Bristol shared the news of her pregnancy with Sarah and Todd Palin, Sarah came up with a plan. Sarah worried over how her unwed teenage daughter's pregnancy would look to the good people of Alaska that elected her governor
and began trying to find solutions. This was all prior to being tapped to run alongside John McCain in the presidential election.
Says Johnston: "Sarah told me she had a great idea: we would keep it a secret—nobody would know that Bristol was pregnant. She told me that once Bristol had the baby she and Todd would adopt him. That way, she said, Bristol and I didn't have to worry about anything.
Sarah kept mentioning this plan. She was nagging—she wouldn't give up. She would say, "So, are you gonna let me adopt him?" We both kept telling her we were definitely not going to let her adopt the baby. In a rare move, AP has published the photo of a young Marine gravely wounded in Afghanistan who later died on the operating table. The decision to publish the picture of Lance Cpl. Joshua Bernard, 21, of New Portland, Maine has been criticized by the Pentagon and Bernard's family; media outlets have variously published the photo or not. There, you'll find an entry titled "This Day in Truman History, November 19, 1945: President Truman's Proposed Health Program," which all seems eerily familiar. Only 7 months into Truman's presidency, he wrote congress asking them to provide healthcare for all citizens. " We should resolve now that the health of this Nation is a national concern," he wrote, "that financial barriers in the way of attaining health shall be removed; that the health of all its citizens deserves the help of all the Nation."

This is the start of a big film project by Conceptual Guerilla: he's attending events by acolytes of Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck, teabagging (just the name is good for a giggle) parties and such, and simply recording their own words. It's a weird combination of certainty and ignorance, and as you'll see, these are ordinary people, Americans just like your neighbors and co-workers, and they're nuts.

For a while, I've been trying to come up with three questions that you could ask anyone and determine if they were a wingnut. Up until now, the list was:
1.) Did we find WMD in Iraq?
2.) How old is the earth?
3.) Was Obama born in the United States?
I may have to add "Is it a bad thing if the President tells school kids to study hard?"
It's pretty obvious that conservatives want a dumbed down population... and it's working for them too. Look at the Town Hall meetings where people are protesting AGAINST their own interests.

"When I have sensed that the Lord is calling me to do something, I've said yes to it," she said. On Mike Gallagher's radio program yesterday, Bachmann again dropped hints that she might want to run for president, saying that Democrats are attacking her because she's such a threat:
BACHMANN: Also with women politicians, they want to make sure no women, no woman becomes president before a Democrat woman, and so they're doing everything they can to, I think, sabotage women like Sarah Palin, perhaps women like myself, or similarly situated women, to make sure that we don't have a prominent national voice. But the thing is, the people in our country, they don't care who the voice is, they just want someone, they want to know that someone is speaking out for them against what will certainly bring about the destruction of our great country if we continue to go down the Obama path.
